This is a Tokusatsu-themed fanwork exchange, open to writers and artists of all sorts. Whether you love Ultraman or Power Rangers, Super Hero Time or Local Heroes, or any of the myriad other series that make up this genre, this exchange is for you!
Writers will be asked to create a story of at least 1,000 words, and artists will be asked to create one completed piece of art based on one of the prompts they receive.
New this year: We are requiring all participants to specify if they want to give and/or receive art, fic, or both for each prompt.
Want to take part? Here's what you need to do:
Step one: Acquire an AO3 account or log into the one you have.
If you need an AO3 account, send an email to theexchangemods@gmail.com or comment on this post (comments are screened) and we'll help you out.
Step two: Join the exchange.
Fill out the sign-up form (see step three), and you're in!
Step three: Create 3-10 prompts you would like others to write for you, and offer 3-10 sets of characters/pairings that you would enjoy creating works around.
These prompts and offers will be used to match you to other participants, so everyone can create and receive something that they'll enjoy.
You will be asked to specify if you want to give or receive art, fic, or both in each of your prompts and offers.
Feel free to include a list of things you absolutely don't want to show up in your fill. You can also include a never-ever list of things you don't want to create in your offers—we want to make this as fun as possible for everyone!
Step four: Create fic and/or art that fits at least one of the prompts you have been given.
Minimum requirements are at least 1,000 words or one completed piece of art.
Step five: Post your work to the community.
On December 25, all fic and art will be revealed for people to enjoy. Artists and authors will be revealed one week later. Everyone has fun and it's good, and hopefully the world is saved from another giant monster attack.
Important Dates:
Sign-ups Close: November 3 (Countdown)
Assignments Due: December 15 (Countdown)
Works Revealed: December 25 (Countdown)
Creators Revealed: January 1st (Countdown)
Sign-up and assignment due dates are by end of day.
